Cars with single-phase charging can now charge twice as fast – with JUICE PHASER.
Now you can charge your e-car legally with single-phase power at ratings of 25 amps (rather than 16) and 5.8 kW, no matter where you are, without the risk of causing unbalanced loads. Simply connect the JUICE PHASER to a red CEE16 three-phase socket, then connect to your e-car via JUICE BOOSTER 2 and voilà: the charging process begins. The charging accelerator draws 16 amps from each of two phases, combines this in a single phase, thus charging the car with 25 amps (less any power losses), or 5.8 kW.

Why do we need the JUICE PHASER?
- To prevent unbalanced loads. Virtually all European countries prohibit unbalanced loads in excess of 16 amps (single-phase power only). The threshold in Germany is currently 20 amps.
- For faster charging of e-cars equipped with a single-phase on-board charger. Car manufacturers can save money by just fitting vehicles with single-phase chargers. This is at the expense of consumers, who are still only able to charge with up to 16-amp single-phase power at home (see Point 1).
- The domestic power supply means that many buildings have 25 amp protection. This means that the connected load available for charging e-cars is a maximum of 16 amps, as other domestic loads are usually drawing power at the same time.
